The city of Arendal is the oldest city on the Southern Norwegain coast in the region called "Sørlandet".

Ask any Norwegian of his/her favourite domestic travel destination. The majority will tell you that "Sørlandet"is the place to go and stay, especially in the summer time. 

Visiting ships are secured in middle of the city centre at Batterikaien or Hotelkaien. Both presently being upgraded and ready for visits from 2014.
